Iguazu

Lower Level

Walking down a long, easy path to the lower level, I saw this bird with odd-looking blue eyebrows landing on a hand-rail. As I got closer, he fled into the bush. This one is a Yellow Eyed Bluebird.

I swear there's a boat in that mist, but I can't be certain. I opted not to take that ride (from the lower level). While maybe a thrill ride to some, to me it looked like drving headlong into a pouring rain, and I did not have a waterproof camera. When I saw the people come off the boats, they were drenched.

Now, with the Main level well above, there are some cool views down here, and I think it's well worth the walk

I took a detour, which entailed climbing many steps, meaning, few people took it. Those that did, didn't see what I saw. I know that, because they just looked around quickly and walked on. As you will see in a second, I saw something totally wonderful here.

You see, there was this bridge over a small waterfall, and down below, with the sun just right, a beautul rainbow, next to the bird in flight. But wait......

Standing there, admiring the fall and the rainbow, I saw these little things on the side of the cliff. Time for a closer look with the telephoto lens. And talk about cliff-hangers.

A moment later, although not all that close to them, you can see all but one of these sharp-eyed birds looking at me. The are Great Dusky Swift.

Then I went back down to the boat launch area. Dry people on, wet people off.

Another view of the promontory, but from below, this time.
